Brussels Sprouts
As the weather starts cooling, we often find ourselves in the kitchen looking for something warm and comforting. Brussels sprouts??? I know you may have experienced these as overcooked, bitter and boring, but with the right technique you may rethink this commonly overlooked vegetable.
You’ll need about half a kilo of Brussels sprouts, washed and halved. 1-2 cloves of garlic and some olive oil. Heat a heavy based fry pan; add the olive oil to coat the pan. Add the Brussels sprouts and crushed garlic and cook for a few minutes until just tender. Remove from the heat and serve straight from the pan with some freshly cracked pepper.
