22 Oct COVID-19 Update
Following the Premier’s announcement and further easing of restrictions from 19th October 2020, it was announced that Allied Health would return to routine care, however there is still restrictions in our services.
What does this mean at SportsFit?
- All clients can attend the clinic now for face-face consults for 1:1 general care our Physiotherapists, Podiatrist, Dietitian & Nutritionist, Hand Therapist and services including Clinical Exercise, GLA:D and Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill;
- Clients are still encouraged to utilise Telehealth services when this is appropriate, which we continue to provide for Physio, Dietitian & Nutrition, group Clinical Exercise and GLA:D programs.
What about Remedial Massage?
Unfortunately Remedial Massage therapy is not currently classified as Allied Health and was unable to resume from the 19th. It is our current understanding this service may return from the 1st of November under Victoria’s current roadmap.
Are you returning to group exercise classes (Clinical Exercise, Pilate, GLA:D)?
No, we cannot currently provide indoor group sessions. Even allowing for adequate social distancing, group Allied Health is still not permitted. We have been advised this is likely to return end of November under the current roadmap plan.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us during this tough year, and know you can always give us a call even if you want a chat. We will continue to keep you updated when we can make further changes to our current services.
