06 Aug We are still open in Stage 4 Lockdown
Dear SportsFit Community,
Our clinic remains open in Stage 4 Lockdown for limited services
Following the recent announcements and further clarification by the Victorian Government and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), our clinic and services are deemed an essential service and can continue to provide both on-site and telehealth care. While we will remain open, we have put a number of changes in place during this Stage 4 lockdown:
- Podiatry and Remedial Massage services will be suspended.
- We will not provide on-site group Clinical Exercise, GLA:D or Pilates classes.
- On site services will only include Physiotherapy, Private Clinical Exercise and Hand Therapy- and no referral is required.
SportsFit Physio & Health will continue to offer Telehealth services, including:
- Dietitian & Nutrition
- Group and Private Clinical Exercise and GLA:D programs
We strongly encourage anyone who can utilise our Telehealth services to do so and only attend in-person when absolutely necessary.
Do I need a referral from a GP or specialist for my appointments?
No, you do not need a referral for on-site or telehealth appointments. Although this appeared to be indicated earlier in the week, DHHS has since clarified our services do not require this.
Do I need anything to show I am going to a medical appointment?
Please keep a copy of your confirmation email on your way to your appointment, and we will provide you with an invoice when leaving your appointment to show.
What if I live outside the 5km radius?
Yes you can still attend for a medical appointment- but we encourage you to call first as we will aim to find you a closer alternative if possible.
Can I attend outside the curfew?
Yes you can travel to and from a medical appointment outside the curfew times of 8.00pm-5.00am.
We understand this is a tough time for everyone. Remember we are all this in together, please follow the rules, stay safe and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
