Sponsoring the East Malvern Knights: Supporting Local Families, Local Sport, and Local Health
SportsFit Physio & Health is proud to announce our new partnership with the East Malvern Knights Junior Football Club, a club with a long and meaningful history in our community. The Knights began as part of the East Malvern Football Club, originally formed in 1927, before establishing their independent junior program in 1986. What started with just four teams has grown into one of Melbourne’s largest junior football communities, now supporting more than 800 players across 38 teams, from Under 8s through to Under 18s, including mixed and girls’ programs.
A club built on community, inclusion, and player development
The Knights have always stood for more than football. Their mission focuses on creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where young people can grow, learn, and thrive through sport. The club’s nurturing approach has helped develop not only confident young athletes but also numerous AFL and AFLW draftees over the years (Read more here).
This commitment to community aligns perfectly with our values at SportsFit Physio & Health.

Why This Partnership Matters to Us
We are part of the Malvern East community
Our team (including physiotherapists, massage therapists, dietitian, nutritionists and admin) live, work, and raise families in the local area. We see the Knights’ players in our clinic, we see their families at local schools and parks, and we understand the demands of junior sport because many of us have children playing it too.
Supporting the Knights is our way of giving back to the community that supports us.
Helping young athletes stay active, confident, and injury‑free
Junior football is an incredible way for kids to build strength, coordination, resilience, and friendships. But with growing bodies and busy training schedules, young athletes also need the right guidance to stay healthy.
Our team specialises in:
- Sports physiotherapy for juniors and teens
- Injury prevention programs
- Management of growth‑related conditions (Sever’s, Osgood‑Schlatter, hip pain)
- Return‑to‑play planning
- Strength and conditioning for developing athletes
By being the East Malvern Knights physio clinic, we aim to support players, coaches, and families with education, injury management, and performance advice throughout the season.
Strengthening Local Sport Through Health
As part of our sponsorship, we’ll be contributing to:
- On‑site support at selected training sessions and game days
- Educational content for families on injury prevention and recovery
- Priority access for Knights players needing physiotherapy
- Community events and club initiatives that promote healthy, active lifestyles
Our goal is simple: keep kids playing, keep families supported, and keep our community strong.
What This Means for Families in Malvern East
For parents searching for physiotherapy in Malvern East, sports physio near me, or junior sports injury physio, this partnership reinforces that SportsFit Physio & Health is the trusted local provider for young athletes.
You’ll see us around the club, on the sidelines, and in the community—because we believe that healthy kids build healthy communities.
Dedicated East Malvern Injury Clinic
As part of our partnership, all Knights players have access to our dedicated Monday (K)Night Injury Clinic. This is a low-cost, 10-minute injury assessment designed to provide rapid access to expert physiotherapy advice after a weekend of footy.
Players receive an early assessment, provisional diagnosis, guidance on whether they can train or play, and fast access to the next steps in management, including physiotherapy treatment, rehabilitation planning, imaging referrals, boots, crutches or other supports where required.
The aim is to identify injuries early, provide the next best steps and help keep young footballers healthy and on the field.
Looking Ahead to a Great Season
We’re excited to support the East Malvern Knights throughout the year and look forward to meeting more families, cheering on the teams, and helping players stay strong, confident, and injury‑free.
Go Knights!
